11th September 2011

A reflection from The Economist for the tenth anniversary:

"As September 11th fades into the history books, America has started to move on. The burning towers, the battle on the slopes of Tora Bora, the pyrotechnics over Baghdad, the sadistic pictures of hooded prisoners in Abu Ghraib: these have come to seem like photographs in an album, vividly remembered but no longer part of today’s reality." (this blogger's emphasis).

[ The 'Labels for this post' are obviously weak. ]
