One Laconian form, two dialectal features

Hesychius cites the form πίσορ· πίθος ['jar']. Λάκωνες.

This one form illustrates two features:

1) <σ> for <θ> - pronunciation as a spirant; cf. σιός ~ θεός: Buck sect. 64, where ἀνέσηκε is cited from a fourth-century BCE inscription (probably IG V.i.1317/Buck, no. 74/Schwyzer 54).

(2) <ρ> for <σ> - word-final rhotacism, a feature of late Laconian: Buck sect. 60.2.
