A chief interpreter
LSJ s.v. ἀρχιερμηνεύς 'chief dragoman' cites an inscription published in 'Izv.Arch.Comm.40.113 (Panticapaeum, ii/iii A. D.)', a Russian periodical. The first edition can be tracked down, thanks to the partial help provided by a Claros search for BCIA. This inscription, which has the gen.sg. ἀρχερ|μηνεως, is now known as CIRB 1053.
