The English of Downton Abbey (1912-)

So might the English of Liddell-Scott-Jones (1925-1940) be described. To cite one example: In season 5, episode 3 (1924), Lady Mary Crawley remarked “Granny has a past!”.

In LSJ, s.v. προσκύλλω, one would read "molest before, Pass. προεσκυλμέναι women with a past, Vett. Val.120.6, cf. Heph.Astr.1.1.".
