Henry Chadwick, who died last June [<http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/2153316/The-Very-Rev-Professor-Henry-Chadwick.html> and <http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article4166998.ece>], is said to have owned so many books that he had to keep some in the bathtub of his college rooms.
He is reported to have said, "Nothing is sadder than someone who has lost his memory".
